This blog post highlights a project I have had on our "to-do" list for several years. It is a 260-foot drainage project across #5 fairway. The main purpose of this project was to collect the water runoff from the adjacent housing development and get it below ground as soon as possible, therefore preventing the fairway from becoming wet and unplayable. This will also help significantly in reducing our handwatering labor as we routinely turn several overhead irrigation heads down to ensure this swale remains playable. My only hope is that you don't even notice this area in a week or two. But for now, enjoy the sod line and commend the staff when you see them for a job well done. (I apoligize for the poor quality cell phone pictures.)
